Oh Boy Snow and Trail Conditions

We’ve been digging out up here in the Lake Gogebic Area— over 30 inches of fresh snow already — and Mother Nature isn’t done with us yet! More snow and cold temps in the forecast this week. Winter showed up fast and fierce!

We’ve been getting tons of calls from excited riders wondering when they can hit the trails. As a reminder, trails are officially open on Monday, December 1st — but here’s the reality:

👉 Per Gogebic Area Grooming:

“While trails are officially open as of December 1st, the storm left behind significant damage, downed trees, debris, and large water holes that haven’t frozen yet. At this time, the trails are NOT safe to ride. Crews are out working hard to clear and secure things. It is HIGHLY recommended that riders stay off the trails right now to allow cleanup and prevent further damage. We’ll continue to provide updates as conditions improve. Thank you for your patience — safe trails start with all of us!”

We know the excitement is real — trust us, we feel it too! 🛷🔥

Let’s give our amazing groomers the time they need to get things ride-ready.

📣 We’ll keep everyone updated right here as soon as conditions change!

In the meantime… make sure you get your groups together and make your reservations early!

We’ll look forward to seeing you soon.

Totally agree, if you are riding bring saws and prepare to cut and move a lot a of downed trees. And they are under the 20-30” of snow that we received. Thanks for helping out!
