TEMPERAILY CLOSED (see notice) ONEIDA COUNTY CLOSE 2026.jpg ...but not looking very likely to reopen at this point...lakes are a mess, and barrels were pulled from Nokomis...I think we are done for the year.

BTW....most of Oneida County got little to NO snow from the expected "storm" ...we had just a 1/2 an inch in Tomahawk, and so did Rhinelander...looks like you had to get north of Minocqua to see 4 plus inches (3 inches in Woodruff, 4 plus in Arbor Vitae)
More measurable Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow night into Friday, and again on Saturday.....but it remains highly doubtful that any Oneida County Trails will re-open (especially in the southern zone)....you simply need to go further north if you want to ride ...probably into Michigan...and that's not looking great, even with the fresh snow...saw pictures of big water/ slush holes in areas...pre scout the area you plan to ride...it's wet up there

The Keweenaw is not wet, trail base is still 2' + & we had snow yesterday & today totalling 6" with more on the way Thursday night into Friday. A winter storm watch has been posted by the NWS whom is projecting 7-12" in Northern Houghton County & Keweenaw County. Additional snow possible Sun into Monday, we can't get a break.:censored:

I didn't say the Keweenaw.....The pictures I got from friends riding up there were mostly eastern U.P......they ran into alot of water holes/wet spots...and I did see one picture of a huge waterhole outside of Ontonagon..but that's why I said for folks to check reports from the areas they were riding. As far as Oneida County goes, No word yet if trails will reopen..we did get snow but it's mainly 10 -12 inches not the heavy stuff, that was all south of us.. Merrill to Wausau to the east and west..basically along the highway 29 corridor

If I were a betting man, I would say they won't open. Unfortunately for me, it's too late anyway. I know we were down to dirt a lot of places by my cabin. We're going up to Boulder Wed to ride a bit. Last venture of the year for us.
