Did some riding this weekend around the Willow Flowage area down to Tomahawk and across Price County. All trails were in the best condition I can remember in years! Usually in March, I need to think about what trails I ride to stay off trails that ride the road in sections. Not a problem this...
I agree. The trail ride is much nicer! I will say that it's not marked as well if someone is not familiar with the area. Just stay on trail 8 until you see Pier Willow area. Trails were awesome over the weekend.
Not this year yet. It's been a detour from time to time over the years. The detour is well marked and just takes you to the road for a half mile or so. just the same as the summer ATV trail. If you want to avoid the road, just take the trail 8 another mile or two to the west and come over Willow...
Thanks Attakman! The lakes north of the Willow Flowage are marked. Squirrel lake and others in that area are marked. The trail leading to the Pier Willow area bars from the south loop of the Willow is detoured. It's the spillway trail 12/5 from trail 8. Water from the Willow river broke through...
Great to hear that!!! I woke up this morning to only 2-3 inches in the Green Bay area. I was watching the radar last night and thought Tomahawk didn't get any more than us. Really surprised to see! My trip north is back on!
I have a place near the Pier lake area north of the Willow Flowage. We had rain all day yesterday. Not good! Everything is ice now. We really need 3- 6 inches of snow like Attakman says. If the storm on Thursday tracks south, I will cancel my plans to ride this weekend and wait for more snow.
Really sad to hear about this! Great family run business 20 miles west of Tomahawk.

Rode the northern part of Price County over the weekend. Lots of snow. Very heavy traffic with Braaapfest in Springstead. Trails were pounded with the heavy traffic but with some grooming, they should be great mid-week!
I feel the need to write this post so that it just might save a life. I have been riding snowmobiles for almost 40 years and well over 100,000 miles without incident. I am the leader of the pack 90% of the time. I have had some close calls over the years. I've had to bight the pickers a few...
I have a newly renovated 4 bedroom cottage on Manson Lake available for rent. Lots of dates available at this time.
The driveway is plowed and the heat is on. Plenty of room for parking snowmobile trailers. The snowmobile trail is at the end of the driveway.
Very reasonably priced! I also give...
I am having a hard time finding a website to print wisconsin snowmobile maps.
We are riding from Appleton to Minocqua tomorrow and am mostly looking for a Langlade county map. I have done this trip several times without looking at a map, but every time I get between Summit Lake and Harrison...
This past fall I spent a good amount of money replacing all 4 electric brakes that were only 5 years old and rusted tight. What is the best and easiest way to wash out the salt inside the hubs with electric brakes?
I have a 6 yr old enclosed trailer that I bought last season. The electric brakes don't work, so over the weekend I replaced the rusty old ones with 4 new ones. I can hear them "try" to engage, but there is no stopping power. Any ideas?
I have a 2 week vacation comming up and I want to get some ideas for attractions in Wisconsin and the UP. I have 2 teenage kids, and want to travel the whole state. We will likely bring the camper, so any camping destinations would be apreciated also. I saw the other post about whitewater...
