I would like to take the wife from Bergland to lake of the clouds. It looks like an easy ride? Where to park trailer? Where to eat?

How do you know what 'roads' you can ride in the UP? Looking to ride north out for Phelps up to the 2 trail and see lots of 'roads'. One is called 'federal forest 16' - rideable?

Thanks for the replies. Do not need fancy, just decent bar food. Granted it was a few years ago all we wanted was a couple of beers and warm up. The bartender was a crab, bathrooms were a mess, and all we could get was frozen pizza. LOL!

Any good stops close to Watersmeet? We stopped in some dumpy place a few years ago (not sure where, east side of the road?). The ladies were not impressed.

I would think with more counties opening up and more snow around the states. The Vilas and UP should improve because there will be less traffic, right? People can now go to other places?

How do you know what forest roads are rideable when in the UP? Some Even say forest highway? Specifically looking at roads north of Phelps.

We would like to go from Bents camp north across the chain to trail 2. Is the chain marked well? Thanks!
