Agree with what most have said on here. We have a RZR 1000 4 seater. It's ok to just get out there and bum around. The wife and mainly like the fall riding to get out and see colors. Way too much road riding around St.Germain and most of Vilas. It doesn't even compare to sledding for me personally. If someone put a gun to my head and said you are going to have to either sell your sled or the RZR, the RZR would be gone in a heartbeat. We had quite a few good winters in a row. Every weather guesser predicted this for this winter even though I never thought it would be this bad. All the same guessers are saying El nino will be over by early summer. So next winter should be closer to normal hopefully.

Not me. I doubled down and bought a new 2024 leftover at a nice discount. I’m hoping winter returns yet this year, and back to normal next year. I had planned to buy a sled in the next year or so anyway and couldn’t pass on the price of a 2024.

That was good thinking on your part they really seem to be discounting the sleds. Did you pick up a new Catalyst? Congratulations on the new ride. Next winter should be much closer to normal. Sounds like EL Nino should be out of here by early summer. We should have a neutral or possibly a LA Nina pattern by next winter. Sure be nice to have a neutral pattern for a change.

NOT THIS GUY!! side by sides never interested me at all, have had most of the types recreational powersports products and the one I have always stuck with are snowmobiles and I will not let one bum year deter me from or to think about entering another, IMO nothing compares to snowmobiling. I got my ride in this year and if that's all I get...that's all I get. In my business I have learned long ago weather is no guarantee, my one rep would always say "it always snows in wisconsin" and that may be true but it may not always be enough to make a difference. Me...I'll stick with my snowmobiles

I'm with Skylar and Rupp. Bought a one-year old Can Am Maverick Sport 1000R (naturally aspirated) 60" Side by Side 2 years ago. My wife likes to snowmobile, but not as much as I do. But riding the Can Am is a different story. We've put on almost 8,000 miles in the last 2 years. NW Wisconsin has tons of great trails to ride, and most roads are legal to ride on near us. 250 mile weekends are common for us.
And yesterday, we enjoyed sun, 46 degrees and quiet trails. Put on 60 miles.

I'm on my 3rd Polaris RZR along with owning snowmobiles as well. Had 4 wheelers that we rode back in the day as well. Like Skylar said, it is lots of fun! We go all over Wisconsin and the U.P. where we can and we always take 1 big trip out west a year to places like the Black Hills South Dakota/Colorado/Wyoming. Utah (not Moab) is probably going to be this summer's big trip for us.

i sold my mountain sled couple years back. Got a KTM dual sport with the intention of buying a timbersled conversion to use when I go out west (only once/twice a year). Has been serving excellent use in summer as its plated (from the factory) so I can if wanted to ride around town (also easy when i take up north i dont have to trailer from "home base" and can ride any roads to the trails) as well as when i go to friends lands near residence I can ride roads to and from and not trailer for 5-10 miles.
Been looking to go out west in summer as well for exploring.

in the end it can do all 4 seasons if i want it to and also can be used right out of my garage at home to commute to work, errands, anything.

I have been think about the same thing for a few weeks now. I found a 2024 I would be really be happy with. I would keep my ZR9000 and move my oldest son (17) to that and my youngest (14) to the ZR 5000. Then eventually sell his 07 Yamaha Phazer.

I'm not getting rid of my sleds, I just want something I can use.
I can leave from my house and go anywhere that I go in my regular vehicle.

Been Snowmobiling for over 50 years, it's in my blood. I have a 2023 Thundercat and a 2023 Harley Davidson anniversary Street glide special. I do enjoy Riding my Harley but if I had to give up one it would be the Harley. One bad year won't deterrent my thinking either. Nothing compares with going down a fresh groomed trail with light snow falling with a temperature around 10 degrees.

I did end up getting a 2024 ZR600 Catalyst in the 137 skid. I couldn’t find it at any local dealers but Country Cat had one left. Discounted to $13,500, from $16,600. (A similar sled at Ken’s in the 129 skid was discounted to $15,300.). I will be making a trip to Minnesota this week to pick it up. Think snow!

Congrats on the new purchase, you got it for a great price too. I didn't think there was that much margin. Enjoy & let us know what your thoughts are on it.

We have a 4 seat commander 1000xt and have a blast in that thing, when its nice and hot we float around on the boat, evenings and crappy days do the sxs. Rarely do we take a vehicle out, take the sxs about everywhere. Still the sleds are what we have the most fun on, for me the sxs is a close second.

except a powder filled meadow with heavy snow falling over your bars with blue bird sky around 30 degrees. But.... We are in the same ballpark. :cool:
