Aint no joke!! brought wife to ER about 3 weeks ago with 104 fever and high pulse, diagnosed Influenza A, I think it was the first time ever she went home from shop early, she is a toughie! By next morning I had it full blown as well, closed shop for 3 days, I was out for 4, wiped us out, wasn't 100% when we went back but could function. Started feeling better, thought it was breaking up and next day back with vengeance, dealt with it for week until breathing was going south, Went in had post influenza pneumonia. Had a nasty lung infection a few years back and left behind some damage, got pneumonia shot for first time and still ended up with it, heavy antibiotics and steroid and its finally going away for most part. Almost tempted to get flu shot but that's just and educated guess at best too so no guarantees. IMO.... 3 years of separation, sanitization of everything left all these viruses in wait and we all now have to become immune to them once again. Its not funny but it is when you now cough in public every turns their heads, gives you the stare and avoids you, but yeah this flu season SUCKS!!
