Hey
No chatter on 2026 skidoo or did I miss the thread?
No one spring ordering ?..... just picking up a left over ?
I myself might be looking to spring order to get Smart Shox, but undecided
Anyone have any feedback on the skidoo Smart Shox or on 2026 skidoo sleds
One dealer said they might put a $5k tariff on new sleds ......I said I'm not interested in spending another $5222 for Tariff
any thoughts?

I will most likely b updating mine this year, just cant decide on the smartshox. I really havent talked to anyone that has them and they r kinda spendy. I am very happy with my shocks on 2020 xrs. The big screen is a 1300 dollar option and im struggling with that. If the tariff sticks ill b looking at leftovers for sure or ride mine another year. I really like the mineral blue on the xrs for 2026.

last week in the Keweenaw, my buddy brought his brand new $24,000 2024 Skidoo 850 MXZ 129" with Smart Shox
At first he was smiling (riding freshly groomed trails) later that day reality materialized when we rode through the rough terrain
After 550 miles he said the new sled didn't ride much better than his 2015 SkiDoo Doo MXZ 800

minimal excitement for the 26 trail sleds. Due to the possible tariffs, or until that gets straightened out, I would be doing everything I could to buy a 25 leftover right now.

Besides some new colors not much changed for trail sleds. As far as smart shocks sounds like they do work. I was choosing between the 2 in January I ended up going with the blizzard with the 3 clicker shocks. For me being I like to work on my sleds I didn't want to be dealing with a bunch of connectors and wires to get the skid out.

Make sure to check that the factory wrench 🔧 is held in place properly

My buddy's 2024 Ski Doo with only 550 miles on it had the wrench fall out and the Clutch found it

There's a post on Facebook from a dealer mechanic about this occurring on G-4 and G-5 models

That is a nasty mess. Not a great place to store anything metal. That thing should be in a tool bag / pouch stored elsewhere. That is going to be a costly fix.

So a few different threads on doo talk about it. Has happened to some and many have never had an issue. But probably a good idea to remove and just put them in a pouch. I have used 2 different dealers over the years and one will install them on the cover and one doesn’t, so my guess is one has had an issue and one hasn’t.

The only time you will have aproblem is if you do not place the tools back in their places correctly. The belt tool is supposed to lock the wrench in place. When the belt tool is not "snapped" into its holder, it will shimmy it's way out and allow the wrench to become unlodged causing the picture we saw above. Also have seen where someone probably uses their clutch tool and then because in a hurry or whatever will throw it in the glove box or their pocket and not return it to the holder in the clutch cover, not securing the wrench the way it is designed. See the pics below labeled correct and incorrect.

Great point. I’ve never had an issue but it’s good to get it out there so people can make their own decisions. But as for blame hard to ever say.

It's still a poor location to put tools in despite the snap in set up. I get it, there was the "convenience" aspect, but, that is just too risky of an area for metal tools that can dislodge.

So did anyone Spring order 2026 Skidoo......new sleds sure do depreciate rapidly.
Yeah unfortunately they do just about the same as anything with a engine does. We got a 2023 RZR and I was thinking of getting a General because it's a little more roomy. They offered me $15,000 with 700 miles on it that's half of MSRP.

Spot on hermie! For better room, including big leg room, seems BRP has got it covered. My most genuine Poo guy has gone to BRP for his SxS now for that exact reason. I'm a Poo Ranger guy, but BRP has my eyes open for sure. My best riding bud went from his Ranger, poor leg room, getting in, and out, to a big $$ General. However now, by him over looking some things in the switch, is sorry due to there not being a good tight, secure, enclosed cab. Thus with no A/C being available, it's a dirty, dusty, hot ride. He, and his wife are now looking at BRP, but they are very disgusted in how the General has greatly depreciated in $$ value, in less than 2 years. o_O It now seems Kawasaki too is a real player in the mix of SxS's. Well worth a look to check them out.

We've been in a RZR, General and 2 XP1000 Northstars. In December we went with a 2025 XD 1500 Ultimate. This thing is truly so far ahead of the rest. I know, it's crazy expensive but I work hard and buy what we want.

Agree with you Abe on Kawasaki seems to be stepping it up. Maybe they are seeing it's becoming a big market. Personally I would buy any of the Japanese brand SxS they normally make a really good quality and reliable product. I had a friend tell me to go with a trail machine if that was what I mainly was going to do. I do like the RZR but wish I went with my original choice of the BRP commander. Just too much road riding in Vilas and the solid axle is terrible for road riding.
