The NWS Marquette has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Gogebic, Ontonagon and Northern Houghton counties beginning at 7am Friday through 1 pm Saturday. Snow accumulations of 8 to 15 inches of LES is expected in the higher terrain areas. Reduced visibility is likely. If you are planning on traveling in these areas, be safe.

No new snows yet, it appears by the radar that this shouldn't start until 1 or 2 this afternoon. From what I can tell, the Keweenaw might not see as much as previously anticipated, it looks like Mass to Painesdale will see the most of it, we'll see.

that stinks for trails, I may enjoy the drive up tonight better though so hopefully is a late starter.

I just received notification that the Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled & we now have a Winter Weather Advisory in place through 7 pm Saturday. LES accumulations of 3-8" are possible for Northern Houghton County. Current Euro & GFS models differ in snowfall amounts & it doesn't appear that this won't happen until later tonight. Again, I don't think the Keweenaw will see as much as forecasted.

I need to clarify that the Winter Storm Warning has been amended for Northern Houghton county, the Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Gogebic and Ontonagon counties.

I think it went south, Vilas County received 10" in the northern section of the county, winter weather advisory until 12pm Saturday.

Finished shoveling and plowing at noon. Moved 3 to 4 inches of fresh LES. Despite temps in the mid 20's the snow was reasonably light. In the grand scheme of things, just another winter day in the Kee.
