    Got the itch

Here is my two cents. I had a Polaris quad 20 years ago. Lost my brother in law when his flipped. Bought a Polaris Ranger, safer. Unfortunately the Ranger is wide so limited to ORV ”auto” wide trails. My wife will drive the Ranger since it feels like a car. It’s life is a yard utility vehicle.

Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum

Check out the yellow Trailbuster. Not sure what the screw is for on the back? Ice fishing auger? It’s skis are made from culvert pipes “as to have a natural runner”.

Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum

Temps and humidity have been “oppressive “ at home. My local tv station covers the eastern part of the UP and showed Naubinway’s humidity as somewhat acceptable. So I grabbed the rv and headed up to the Top of the Lake Snowmobile Museum. It has been a couple years since I was last there and I...

    The Olympics

The book I just finished reading was “We’ve got issues” by Dr Phil. Yep that Dr Phil. Never watched him and the book was recommended to me. He felt compelled to write this after watching what has been going on over the last decade. Wow, not what I expected! I guarantee you will not be...

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

My mechanic has been making a killing on buying insurance autos (Subarus) with minor damage because after a certain point they have to buyout the claim. He has built an inventory of badly damaged ones and swaps parts as needed. Last summer daughter needed a vehicle ASAP. She picked one and he...

Thank you for the Journal Nora

Thank you for the update. The memories are most definitely the healing. Recalling them today as painful as it may seem will help cement them for years to come when the mind is healed and wanting to reflect on them. As for a sign off you kind of said it. The Dee g’s. And now you know why they...

    electric cars

Speculating on my part: delaying the loss on the books when one sells. The BEV sales have taken a dive. I returned my leased BEV in December (4 months early) and the mfr has yet to pick it up from the dealer. The residual/ buy option price is about $7k higher than market value and they had no...

    Squatters Rights

My question on it has always been “at what point does it transition from trespassing to squatting?”. When I was young my grandparents had 5,000 aces in northern WI. This meant that they landlocked many small lakes. The locals would have nothing to do with that so they made paths to access...

    TIME TO CALL IT ?

Just remember that it is lake effect so 12“ of fluff is only 1“ compacted. Most rocks, stumps and ruts are taller than 1”.

    Wisconsin Gov. Evers announces support

Buying votes imo. Government intervention usually does not end well. I watched debt cripple (midwest) farmers while milk subsidies built the mega dairies in Calif and Texas years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I empathize with these businesses. The one week we got to ride it was crickets in the...

Still "might" get a week of riding in 🤞

8 years ago my right arm kept “like falling out of socket”. It was September and I thought I should have it checked out. MRI results went to surgeon and I got a call the next day to go over the results. He had me move my arm around and asked about my level of discomfort. No different than the...

How many folks are taking the money they are not spending and saving for a side by side??

I love snow! Summer just makes me sleepy. My life has revolved around these 3 precious months every year. 4 years ago my ability to walk degraded quickly between the Milwaukee snow show and the Novi snow show. A month later I had back surgery and was told I could Not snowmobile that season...
