Yep, it’s not a great feeling waiting for the estimate because you know it’s going be a hit.

    Auto experts: oil seepage

Getting cars worked on is always a shit show. You’re lucky to find honest people in this world, if you do be good to them and they will treat you right. It’s been that way forever in my opinion. My local guy even lets me dump my old oil in his used oil tank, he might be heating his garage with...

I think they are self funded, I believe I paid $10 for tour 5-6 years ago.

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

So true, then again, the Northwoods obviously has things city can never offer. I like people but not everywhere I go all the time. I’m in Naperville right now, going home on Friday to the Northwoods, always good to be home.

Awesome area, I spent some time out there a few years ago. Crazy Horse was definitely strange and probably won’t ever be finished. Very scenic around Rushmore.

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

Pete, agree with you on the dealers and their prices. I had to take the Tahoe into Marthaler Chevrolet in Minocqua to have the throttle body replaced and they had me in and out of there in a couple of hours and it was under $300. I was fairly impressed, otherwise I use a local guy in MW that...

    Auto experts: oil seepage

I made that same mistake many years ago on an older vehicle. I put a soil gear line in my axles (recommended viscosity) and it blew out the seals. I only use synthetic in newer vehicles. Not bashing Amsoil either, just my experience.

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

Yes, we almost bought one but we run our vehicles a good 10 years. I am firm believer in maintaining vehicles and if you do that they will last. My only strike against the Ford Explorer was the 4 cylinder, the turbo gave it plenty of power but I wasn’t sold that it would last as long as we...

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

I have my next Chevy Tahoe all picked out. A good friend and neighbor up the road has a 2020 that is pristine. Only 25k miles on it and he will sell it to me in the next two years so I just need the 2007 Tahoe to last a little longer!

Thanks, I really didn’t have Jeep in mind but it was a great deal and we both love the vehicle. Good to hear.

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

Well, we ended up heading to Minneapolis on Friday in hopes of finding a 4wd vehicle. The list included Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Armada, Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander. Also test drove a 2017 Lexus GX460 which was exactly what the deer totaled out. After a lot of...

When They Double Dog Dare You

The guy probably learned his lesson and that was the end of his stupid times in life. In The new world we try and find ways to justify what moves these lunatics to do things like this.

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

I honestly think it would have taken 6 months to fix my vehicle as well. I guess this all goes back to Covid and manufacturers not being able to forecast inventories or not wanting to. I think many companies changed the the way they look at growth and margin. Example: higher prices, lower sales...
