Biggest snowpack this time of year (early May)?
Hi John. I see that Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood in Oregon is reporting a snow base of 193" today (May 6). Do you have any idea if there are other places in the U.S. or elsewhere in the northern hemisphere that have this amount of snowpack right now? Thanks. -

Today's cold air. How rare or "not rare?"
Hi John. I was at -19F near Duluth this morning (I know other outlying areas up north were probably MUCH colder). I know we didn't approach record territory, but subjectively, is it somewhat rare to have temps this cold in mid-March? Thanks! -

Elevation affecting temperature near Lake Superior
