Trip advice - where to go

Have you considered West Yellowstone / Island Park area? Bucket list trip for me that got checked off the list in 2017. Tons of places to stay and play. VERY sled friendly community, ride sleds in-town, etc. The one crappy thing is the only way you can ride inside the National Park (and you...

    Hay Days

First year in a long time that we didn't bring home a single sled part. Annual re-fresh of the wardrobe (pic of the wardrobe haul included). LOL! New pair of boots for the kid (actually needed those, the others were wearing out on the sides). Annual new coat from Ken's Powersports booth for...

    Hay Days

It really is an awesome event. After spending several months away from the sport by September, it's a good way to get them sled juices flowing again. Just hanging out with like minded folks is worth it in my opinion. Even if you don't buy much. Somehow we always seem to find stuff we can't...

    Hay Days

Never been able to find the booths blowing out Klim gear... Look every year, but never seem to find any. Snowbigdeal has stuff on sale, but not what I'm willing to pay. I'm looking for past season blow out deals!!!

    Hay Days

Wouldn't miss it. I know what you mean about them missing it due to college. My son will be a freshmen at Iowa. The Iowa vs. Iowa State rivalry game is in Iowa City that Saturday. He originally said he'd rather got to H. Days, but just last week said he's decided to stay on-campus for the...

    South Dakota

We've been to The Hills 20+ times on sleds. Our absolute favorite place to ride when they have good snow! A couple years ago, we finally did our first trip out there seeing green instead of white. Did the UTVs for a day and really didn't care for it either. For starters, the trails were not...

My vehicle was totaled by my insurance company

My worst fear, next to someone on my side coming around a blind corner. Nearly had the latter two years ago as a Poo Boost came flying by. Know it was a boost cuz he was completely sideways, giving me a PERFECT view of the BOOST sticker on his tank.

    Pictures from a Bucket List

Cool stuff! We've been to Space Center in Houston, but never in FL. If I have a chance I'll post a few pics later.

    Best tunnel bag?

I personally have a problem putting another brand onto my Poo. Guess it's the OCD in me. That said, I know Doo makes some great bags and lots of guys use their stuff. If you need a shovel on the sled, the BCA is good for that, otherwise a bit "boxy" in my opinion. One guy I rode with had a...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Clutches are one of those areas I'm not super comfortable with other than taking them off (water trick works every time!), putting them on and changing springs/weights. I clean the surfaces before every trip, but beyond that I don't have the knowledge to mess with them. We put on maybe 500-800...

    Grand Lake Colorado information

Never personally been to Grand Lake, but follow their groomers FB page pretty closely as it's relatively close to Steamboat where we ride (same state anyway. LOL!). They also have a website www.grandlaketrailgroomers.com which has an "area information" tab that will give you local sled rental...

    Snowies or Grand Lake?

Just returned from the Snowies last night. Snow is excellent. They finally started getting hammered the past couple of weeks. It was pretty bad prior to that. I would not recommend it for mostly trail riding.... Groomers only go out at night, so with the amount of traffic they had this past...

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

Pathetic season out there. Last season was absolutely un-believable thou! Out there pretty much every-other-weekend Christmas thru Spring Break. Nearly 100% certain we won't make it once this year. Pretty sad as we've made it out there at least once every season for the past several.

Still "might" get a week of riding in 🤞

Second trip (and likely last with SB to Mexico coming up) is about a week out. They don't have as much snow as CO did for our first trip, but hoping they get dumped on between now & then.

How many folks are taking the money they are not spending and saving for a side by side??

except a powder filled meadow with heavy snow falling over your bars with blue bird sky around 30 degrees. But.... We are in the same ballpark.

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

Going to interject some POSITIVE VIBES onto this thread in hopes that it will turn around for other areas. Best snow we've ever ridden two weeks ago in CO. Untouched powder.... ALL.... DAY.... LONG!!!!!! Truly epic day of riding and my sons first time ever out to the "real" mountains (Black...
