    I remember a coworker that had a "Rainy Day" calendar on his office wall. He found a website that predicted the chance of rain for our city each day for a full calendar year! I never checked in with him, but I suspect it was just a tad inaccurate, lol.

    My favorite memory as a kid is visiting my relatives in Barron, WI for a few days around Christmas. They had those mini-boxes of sugary cereals (the kind we never had at home!) and I was in heaven!

    48 Years Ago, Tonight

    Amazing that it's been 48 years. I had the privilege of visiting Split Rock Lighthouse in MN on this day a few years ago. As I understand, it's the only day of the year where visitors can climb up the lighthouse tower to see the lit beacon. They also rang the bell 29 times for each sailor...

    Yes, the NWS reports 8.4" near Two Harbors, MN and 7.2" near Finland, MN. I suspect there may be some higher amounts, however.
