2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

I get it with where you, Kip, and your family are at as a long time Yami dealer. Your family being the most committed to your brands that I've ever seen! However, the Yamaha company snowmobile business is where it's at as Yamaha's choice. Very said, but that's the FACT.

    New truck

It's been like this off and on for Ford Super Duty's for quite sometime now.

My guess is they, Ford will build what sells best. They've owned the truck market to long not to.

2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

Imo, just 15, 20# up front, over the skis, makes for a noticeable difference. This in both ride, and handling. After a big day, high mile, hard ride, very noticeable. These comparisons I made were from going from our 2 stroke sleds, to our 4 strokes.

The Yami 998 takes up quite some space, and is rather weighty?

    New truck

As a rule, generally an F350 will ride better than a F250 when empty. Yeah, well, I know that's hard to believe, but that has been the way it works. It has to due with the way the springs are configured. Drive both before purchase.

    The Mosquito - It's Available

Yeah, LOL, I can remember how it was years ago! A whole lot different than the recent past years. The first time I took my wife into Mosquito, you could barely see the bar for the cigarette, and cigar smoke! Kind of dingy, dungeon in there to say the least. She didn't care for that kind of...

Yeah, well, if so then it seems the 4-stroke will not happen, period. Done deal.

2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

Goofy600, I'm really hoping that is the exact case! It's modern, modular design manufacturing. Textron/AC can do this for multiple applications, just as BRP has done.

2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

Yeah, well, my hope is that Textron/AC will produce their own, in house, 4-stoke engines. And these engines are engineered and designed to fit their AC chassis from the get go. Thus, this way being very well balanced snowmobile for excellent ride and handling. To do that you have to engineer...

Yeah, well, Tracker is now absent, however remember what he was preaching on climate? 1, to 2 months later! And he'd be riding it hard! :ROFLMAO:

    New truck

Yeah, well, the ability to spec out a Ford truck to fit your needs compared to the other brands is beyond belief. Ford has the truck market for good reason. Chevy is a distant 2nd, GMC, and RAM bring up the rear on the ability to properly spec.. A properly spec truck for the application, is a...

2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

Not so sure on the Yamaha getting it right from day one. Yamaha's rear skid suspension ride history doesn't agree with that. My best riding bud always was loyal Yamaha, finally gave it up 2011 for the poor ride. I fully agree on shock rebuilding.

2024 Yamaha. Is it going to happen?

I totally agree mezz! I've seen what has happened with the "electronic", and high tech shocked skids of the past years. Costly, frequent trade up, or rebuild is a must in order to stay dialed in where you want to be. Can Smart Shocks get across this hurdle? Time only will tell, hopefully Smart...

    New truck

If comparing to a 6.2 GM, there is no comparison. The 7.3 power and torque is over whelming compared to the 6.2, at a much lower RPM. The same goes for the 6.6 GM truck engine. Not enough CID to compete.
