    SnowTech Editorial Scary Snowmobiling Future

I will say this, you don't have to belong to a club in order to help. I have taken part in brushing & signing without being a club member, you just have to care enough about the sport & the area(s) you ride & lend a helping hand. We simply don't have enough people involved, members or non-members.

    SnowTech Editorial Scary Snowmobiling Future

I realize that all clubs lack volunteers & I suspect that will continue to be an issue & perhaps become more of an issue down the road. I will also say that just because someone does not belong to a club doesn't mean they are using the trails for free. Afterall, all (hopefully) purchase...

    Hip replacement coming up

Glad to hear all is going well, congratulations are in order as following protocol can be a challange, at least it has been for me. I am sure you feel like a new man, nothing better than being pain free. I have my follow-up with my surgeon in October, I am looking forward to that being my last...

    Well, it is here ...

This is what leads me to believe that some believe Textron no longer owns AC. I wouldn't consider Textron a "new" owner after five years. Nonetheless as I stated earlier, the snowmobile division is all AC from R&D to mfg. I'm not sure about the Yamaha situation, it doesn't appear that AC is...

    Well, it is here ...

Previous posts suggest that there is a "new owner", I just wanted to see if I was missing something. As stated in my previous post, to the best of my knowledge there is no "new" owner of AC.

    Well, it is here ...

As far as I am aware there is no "new owner", Textron still owns AC, however, the snowmobile division is all AC including R&D & mfg. Please correct me if I am wrong.

    9/11/01 Where were you?

Hard to believe it has been 21 years since this awful turn of events. Despite the time that has passed, I remember it as if it were yesterday. It was in fact a Tuesday morning & as usual was watching the Today show with Matt Lauer & Katie Couric with a cup of coffee in my hand getting ready to...

    Well, it is here ...

I received an e-mail from AC this morning on this, I think it is pretty darn nice looking. I've had green blood forever & I've seen much worse looking sleds fresh off of the line. State of the art & so what if it's only offered in a 600, that sled with the right rider can meet or beat an 800 as...

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

I just returned to the office from PT, all is going as good as can be expected at this point, afterall I am only 3 weeks post-op & no real complaints. I am free of pain medication & now driving myself to PT. I did however have a reaction to the surgical tape used to secure the incision, this...

To cover or not to cover?

I agree with your train of thought, bring them in. No sense in keeping them out, as far as the AC units, I would be inclined to cover them just to keep the UV damage to a minimum as well as any insects that might want to make it a winter hide a way. Just my .02.

    Knee Replacement Surgery - Anyone?

So far so good, another round of PT in the books. I am ahead of the curve so far as my range of motion is concerned, however, I want to make it clear that no 2 surgeries are alike despite having the same procedure done on the other knee 3 months ago. This one carries a little bit more discomfort...

    I finally found it!

Soaked with WD-40 works as well, just takes a few applications. It helps to soak paper towel as well as the surface & stick it over the adhesive area. WD-40 is relatively inexpensive & it doesn't smell bad. Just my .02.
