    New Years Traffic

What's the sled traffic historically like around New Years? My son's working a "Christmas Camp" in Iron River from 12/26 -1/1 and I'm thinking about coming up to ride while he works. Probably wouldn't stay over by him, but would come to the Keweenaw. Figure there is some traffic but still...

    Info on a Subaru??

Well a lady made a left in front of my son a few days back and he nailed her broadside while he was going about 45. Both cars will be totaled, all the air bags went off, good thing is everyone is fine today. Now I'm on the search for a replacement vehicle and he is telling me he'd like a...

Wish I was riding this weekend and could post some photos, but with all the other guys out riding is it time to start a new "Guest Shots" file?

    Interesting Thanksgiving Facts

Was surfing the web this morning and came across this tidbit: "The U.S. ranks as the largest producer of turkeys in the world (one-quarter of a billion birds annually). The U.S. state that earns the No. 1 spot for most turkeys produced? Minnesota, which raises about 47 million turkeys each...

    New Trailer & Tow Vehicle

Picked up the new NEO 3 place in-line today. Some of you may remember a few comments about my debate regarding pulling it with my 2004 Sport Trac. The trailer is 2100lbs empty and with 3 sleds and gear would have come in about 4200. It was rated to pull 5050. Well a couple weeks back I found...

    Winter tires or All season

Put a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T's on 2 years ago. Best tire I've ever had. Quiet, great grip dry, wet and in the snow. Rotate them every 5k and now they have 30k and still holding up great.

What'd Everyone Get at the Show?

I went looking for a sled lift and probably would have bought one from the guy from Southern MI, but spent my money instead on new 509 open face helmets and goggles for my son and I. Looked at some options for the new trailer on order, but John's said I could get them for the same price when I...

    Trail Clean-up

I know you mentioned this in Journal a few weeks back, and there have been a couple already, but are there still plans for another one at the end of this month? Just trying to get some guys to take a long weekend in the UP.

    Best of both worlds!

I know there is already a thread about new sleds coming to town but this shot I took yesterday was too good not to give its own title to.

New Roofing, Well Worth the Cash

I've needed a new roof for a couple years. Been arguing with the previous shingle manufacturer about warranty issues, then the insurance company about hail damage all to no avail yet, but the time came to just put the new one on and produce the receipts should I ever convince IKO their organic...

Intex above ground pool - Debris Cover

We had one of those pools for about 7 years. I assume it is a blow up the ring and fill it with water style. I was one to only put the solar cover on, but my wife always wanted to put the debris cover on each night. Her thinking was more about safety of other little kids in the neighborhood...

    Surgery for My Daughter

For a lot of us this site is not only a great place for fun and info, but it’s also a good source of encouragement. That being the case, and even though our family has great support from family, church and local friends, I couldn’t go through the next chapter in life without sharing this with...

    Handicapped Shooter

This is my nephew who is a quadriplegic as a result of a car accident about 10 years ago. He’s taken an interest in shooting and just got this device in the past week or so. This was the first trip to the range. He’s hoping to go on a handicapped hunt this fall. I’d say he stands a good...

    Next Year?

Never to early to start planning trips for next year, and when you need to put in vacation a year at a time it's always good to have the right dates. The Ride-In has been the first weekend in February, so just making sure you'd still plan that way since next year Feb starts on a Saturday...
