    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

going to take more than one good season to fix this mess, there is a bunch of variables here, economy, weather, price of new ones and new participation into the sport. Lets hope at least for some good snow this year, also hope for a turn around on the economy, financing killing dealers and...

    Lakes making ice

Looks like what I'm seeing is some pretty cold ice making temps, but.... and I am not complaining but seeing a favorable weather pattern for some possible substantial snow, especially in the U.P. guess at this point beggars cant be choosers, would be nice for solid freeze before snow but early...

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

I agree and will be equally as hard on the dealers, margins aren't always as great as people think or assume they are. Then you think about the dealer that may be sitting with a lot of inventory, whether it be machines, clothing or accessories, and the "better mousetrap" comes out, something all...

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

I feel for these dealers, and not just Arctic Cat ones, likely time to move or buy, floor plan interest and or paid inventory that isn't going anywhere can be very detrimental or destroy a dealership.

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

wasn't just Cat jamming inventory, saw the same business plan from a manufacturer in my business once they picked up employees another favorite snow manufacturer shed, could see a change in business almost as if someone flipped a light switch and it cost the company a bunch of dealerships as a...

    Arctic Cat layoffs etc.

Why don't we throw into the mix as well the similar situation happening clear across the board in the entire industry?? I will never understand all the doom and gloom always about the Arctic Cat brand. If we look back when Textron took over the chatter on this sight was exactly the same... doom...

    Your Pre-Season Checklist

Agree to that thought process, I do the same when its winter I want to ride them, not work on them. A lot of break downs are a result of a simple problem that could have been remedied just by doing a little pm prior. Have weeded out some guys from our group over the years that only parked and...

    Sadness, One Year Ago

"The keewenaw had no better ambassador" (gary_in_neenah). It would still be cool to push for renaming the newly reopened Lake Linden Trail in his name and his memory.

    Fear the Deere

Everything ok at the skiroule work shop? I just added another barn find to my collection, picked up a 1971 Snopony 180 complete, hard to believe the seat is still soft, motor free and feels really good, skis a little thin on bottom but other than that in pretty good shape, funny thing I think...
