The Laurium Glacier is located on Hwy M26 just outside of Florida Location in Laurium. If you are traveling (North) up the hill on M26 from Lake Linden to Laurium, it is on your left hand side just before the sweeping curve entering Florida Location. I hope that helps.

Fresh snow on Thursday, 4+" of wet snow. I know there are some late season die hards that will still be at it. Grooming ended, but that doesn't stop the late season die hards. Riding into April here is a treat.

Barfly - that cracked me up. Nice pic's Bayfly. We still have 34" on the ground here in the Keweenaw. Our snowfall to date has reached 304". I have had enough though.

By the time all was said and done, we ended up with 4"+ of the heaviest snow I've seen in quite a while. It took twice the time to move it. The water content was ridiculous, it was like moving cement. I am burnt out.

Since Friday, we received 8-9" of wet snow with ice mixed. Ice beneath the snow, thankfully not a lot on the trees or power lines. Definitely have had enough of this, forecast is calling for more of the wet snow mix again for Wednesday April 2nd. Good grief, this needs to end already.

Currently raining with a light mix & 32 degrees here in the Keweenaw. Currently looks like the rain mix is to change to all snow tonight with expected accumulation of 2". Currently, Saturdays forecast, has the precipitation to end with snow expected to fall on Sunday. Accumulations are unknown...

Not going to happen, this is at the direction of MDOT as well as the DNR. You will have to trailer across if you want to go North. Stay off of the canal, ice is not safe. The trail through Hancock is cooked, but outside of town, trails are pretty decent as of right now considering.

The models are all over the place with this one. Tentatively, the Euro looks nasty however, incomplete data set. The GFS is now showing a split in the track, the others are showing incomplete data as well & they all differ in the outlook. It will be interesting to see what transpires in the next...
