2009 Summit X 800. Motor rebuilt by dealer last year. Around 3000 miles total. Haven't bought or sold a sled in years. What could I expect to get out of this?

I'm restoring a 1990 Polaris Indy 650 and all of the Vintage sled sites I visit don't seem to be interested in anything that new. Are there any sites out there that people are using for information on these sleds?

Wire wheeled the shocks tonight and even polished the rear track shock. Going to paint the front shocks black. Ordered studs and colored ski loops for the plastic skis I have (just going to use those on long trips) a good night of classic country music and garage time.

So I figured it might be fun to start a thread about the progress and give periodic updates as to what I'm doing with the sled and my progress. So far I've just been collecting parts and doing research. . I now have a nice 1" track, new break lever, new track bearings, plenty of spark plugs...

I'm doing an Indy 650 and I would like to get some rebuildable shocks. I REALLY want this thing to ride as good as it can with the stock suspension. Is it worth getting a quality set of fox shocks or just find a set from an old XLT.

I bought a sled a few weeks ago and these skis were on it. I was told they are OEM Polaris but that's all I know. I want to get some red ski loops but first need to know what I have. Anyone know?

Both. Clean the plugs it starts, runs for a bit then creamy plugs. Drain the case....ditto - - - Updated - - - I've pretty much given up on this sled.I was just hoping to getting the motor running for resale value. If anyone needs parts for a 1996 XLT let me know. I'm not attached to anything.
