    Play Ball

Part of being a kid and growing up is dreaming that it's "Bottom of the ninth, bases loaded, a swing and drive, deep!, deep!, deep! it's gone!" or playing golf and you have a 10ft putt to win the US Open! Anyway, you get the drift...

All you can eat fish fry locations- summer 2023

Just got done with an awesome fish fry right here on Spider Lake at our house, perch and bluegill caught through the ice in March 2023, lightly battered and fried on the burner of my gas grill. Yes, very tasty and free! Well probably not free, because had to buy bait and get to the secret spot...

    Newest Honda Goldwing

I don't mind paying for services but I hate getting taken to the cleaners. I do all my own oil changes on all my vehicles, snowmobiles, boats, small engine equipment. It's not that difficult......and then I know it's done right.

So.......I started a project, My new Garage!

Already making a few modifications, have to go with a 10ft wall in the 1st half of the garage (20'x30'ft). 9ft walls don't allow for an 8ft garage door so not a big deal, add a 1ft wall on top of the 9ft concrete and go with 10ft 2x6 stick frame on the opposite side and garage entrance. The...

How about the guy that keeps popping up up all over the forums asking for help on Go fund Me? Is he for real or a scam?

He puts that in in our northern climate for drainage, I can't remember the exact verbage that he used but it is something to that effect with all the freeze thaw going on up here in the winter.

Broke my ultra light pole bobber fishing

Had my buddies up for Spring fishing in May and some how a very nice rod and reel went overboard where we were fishing in a channel with some pretty good current. The depth was around 5 ft but strong current. The young lad (33 years old) wasn't about to give up his nice rod just yet, he stripped...

Finally some real EV/Truck stats and...... WOW!!!

My thoughts exactly on what kind of leadership will prevail in this country. Lets see where this discussion takes us a year from now or will EV's really start to gain traction in the market? I am skeptical to say the least (Ford already laying off white collar jobs because of EV expenses)...

Remember what the 4th day of July is all about!

Sadly it's just a day off for most people, I don't think people think of the freedom that we have in our country when the 4th of July comes around every year. God Bless America!

So.......I started a project, My new Garage!

It's a crazy lot that certainly has it's challenges, the thing that keeps us here is the lake and the life it offers, just tonight we were enjoying a cocktail on the pier and our neighbors from down the lake stopped by and picked us up for a pontoon boat ride around the lake. Just what I needed...
