As soon as lake trails deteriorate and barrels have to come off trails are done. Doesn’t look good imo. It will reach a point where there is no ROI for clubs that maintain trails to do the work to open even if they have a blizzard.

Never did it that way interesting on Spectacle Lake SS would float away with ice flows so always waited for open water. I was on a sand bar so a good 90 feet out to get benefit of deep water operation. Ball busting lift to get on row boat floated her out and slid her off.

Idk so complicated and political to open maybe better to say not rideable for snowmobiles bare trails waiting for snow than to close.

I don’t think Vilas will close until we are well into March. They go to adventure riding which means good luck trails are bare to if we get a blizzard would it be worth it to groom timed to April 1. We were lucky to get what we got this season state wide for WI.

Yep field riding is lots of fun when conditions are good. Lots of tree lines to run on marked trail in Walworth county too. Then you have the kettle trails to nothing tighter than them so tight groomer can’t get thru.

Ya I don’t want to go there either. Definitely could have helped you with a part off a sled in the crate that won’t sell to next season. 🤷‍♂️

There have been so many restaurant leasers I lost count years ago. Some good others not so good no idea who is leasing now.

Seems to me you question is should I sell or rent not buy another sled to not use. Lol. No one can answer this but you , your money ,your time, your costs of a good time.

If ladies want fancy stop at the casino they welcome sled biz. Rogers bar is a nice little bar / restaurant off the trail but definitely not fancy but good food.

Everyone should do Bents or when Saint used to do the radar runs once! It’s an experience to see sleds all over the place and watch some runs. But traffic is horrendous in and out that’s NOT so pleasant an experience. Lol

It’s not so much of a worry about 18 it’s getting there in good conditions from south and west that I question

Too far for Iron Range but they do 111 to Amasa but maybe Moose Country.
