That’s exactly why you don’t let them mess with it. As said no ROI on that repair when doesn’t drip you don’t add oil and probably still would seep after repair. Move on with your life check your oil once in a while.

I have never known an oil pan gasket to blow out you could have it changed and it will still seep. From what you have described I see zero justification to change it.

I had a good guy in Eagle River that did most of my work for along time then he had health problems so I started trying other places one in Iron River , MI that was good then he sold. I ended up getting all my work done in Appleton and Wausau at dealers during family visits.

SWEET….I Looked seriously at the Jeeps in 2015 the styling was nice , ride was good and was smaller than my Tahoe BUT they were gas guzzlers back then the best on hyw was 18 mpg not much better than my Tahoe. My youngest leases Jeeps likes them a lot might buy this one out. Happy for you👍

PCV valves usually cause a bunch of carbon to expel when you punch it when clogged. Cheap fix. I would want a clear definition of where oil is coming from before any repair. You don’t want some moron tearing your engine apart when you just may need a valve cover tightened. Be carful

That’s really weird leaking oil but no drops on pavement and don’t add oil. Can you see it on the engine although crooks have been known to squirt oil to mimic a leak.

I would think the captain has mandatory alarms set for shallow draft water. Unless he is a complete knucklehead about to lose his license. I run alarms on my boat for shallow water set once and done even remembers when battery is pulled.

Good luck Paul car dealers are trying to buy good used cars here the consumer can’t afford the price for new cars and new inventory is building up on car lots. I wonder when dealers will start putting a hold on new car orders? It’s coming not quite there yet.
