900 Ace is a good engine, good on gas , good trail sled. You’re being over sold as powder sled or 2up not the purpose it was built. It’s a moderate power trail sled robust 4s engine.

Engine ,clutches or both , fish tailing is too much pressure on skis harden center shock. That era sled didn’t have much more than 1 “ track lug so no comparison to Venture with ripsaw.

Probably blew out some antifreeze check it out. Oil not likely but check that too.

Usually insurance totals them out won’t quote repair on aluminum enclosure or trailer. Deer ran into mine bought a new one got the salvage rights to damaged trailer sold to my buddy. You should make out well if play your cards right.
