What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

I don't recall him using that particular site. COD - College of DuPage forecast models were what I saw him using on the Snow Church Videos. I am sure he may have had some additional sources that he used, but, I don't recall him using weatherstreet. Every Model that I looked through on the COD...

1-3" possible in the lower elevation areas. Our day time temps are still in the 30's, so, not much of it will stay for too long, especially if we see the sun. So far, this winter is definetly like none other that I can recall in this neck of the northwoods, currently hardly a trace of snow on...

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

Exactly, the model runs for both the GFS & European do show the possiiblity of snow. But, as John would say, that is too far out to have any faith in. And like you said skylar, wait 6 hours & it will change. I don't know that the snowfall models are able adjust or be adjusted for the current El...

Hunter ceiling fan and light question

Then I would say in all likelyhood the fan motor is burned out. Time to replace it & IMO you might as well change the whole thing, unless you can get one that will fit the current light fixture. That may be a crap shoot considering its age though.

Hunter ceiling fan and light question

Most fans are sold application specific, ceilings that are either vaulted or high ceilings would use the drop pole, flush mount are for lower flat ceilings. Hunter fans are top of the line. By what you describe you could very well have a power source issue if both the light & fan are no longer...

    Lessons from John

Eventually, things will take a turn, however, to what degree & when remains to be seen. This season is an anomally to say the least. This is the first green Christmas I can remember here in the Keweenaw. Saturday (Dec 23rd) my wife & one of my daughters went rock picking on the shore of Lake...

Chance of a White Xmas in North Central WI?

On top of that, in looking at that, & I am no meteorologist / scientist, but it doesn't appear to me that the midwest would benefit from it, at least not to the degree that is indicated for the Central US & the East Coast. If the vortex does change the course of the current weather pattern by...

Chance of a White Xmas in North Central WI?

That in itself is a bit deceiving, as you pointed out, the precip is all rain, nothing "near normal" about that especially here in the Keweenaw. I guess, when you look at a "Precipitation Outlook" for the month of December, one would automatically assume the precipitation is actually snow...
