    Electric vehicle

It certainly will be interesting to see where this conversation ends up a couple of years from now. As I read the posts here it is painfully obvious that over 90% of the respondents are not on board with EV's. I am logging the date in my mind and will see where this ends up in 2024.

    Anyone in Florida right now?

Have friends in Northport (their lania sustained damage), not flooding, Bonita Springs, they faired well, Pelican Bay, closer to the Gulf, OK, but he said he thought he was extremely lucky. Most are inland 10-20 miles. I thought I read all new construction is block? Mentioned to my wife, never...

I think we are below 1% still as we speak. US Population is 330 million, if 50% of that number (165 Million) drives, well you see the math. Its probably more like 80 million drivers in the US. 2040 seems more realistic vs the 2030 number that is being thrown around. Lots of things need to happen...

    Electric vehicle

For it to be a worldwide thing it sure is kind of a mess. How they are going about bringing it is not sitting well with people, you can't just demand that people go out and invest this amount of money in an EV. I think that is what people are saying, don't tell us how great this concept is when...

Anybody get new tires and installation at walmart?

If you live near Oconomowoc, WI go see Marty or John at Big Bear Tire, these guys know their tires and they have the best prices around. They will tell you what the best tire is for your veicle or you can tell them what you want, either way. Even though I live up north now they will always have...

9/27/22. Snowshowers near the Gunflint Trail and Ely in northern Minnesota.

Matti, You are excited a little early! You have a new sled? I have piers and boats to get in yet and a months worth of fishing to do yet. We typically get our first snow around Halloween.

    What was your favorite chassis?

Loved this sled, 2001 Polaris 600 Classic with M-10. It served me well up until I sold it last summer, Liberty motor was bullet proof, but it needed frame re-welding and some new parts. Put over 17,000 miles on it.

Trail 2 - Losing a section due to change of ownership

I remember a similiar situation in Waukesha County where Roundys built a warehouse just south of I-94 in Oconomowoc. They informed us that the trail running along side of the road on their property would be shut down due to the same legalities and insurance issues. We tried everything to keep...

I think we can all agree that looking at a map which is provided by the club for their area that most trails go from business to business, meaning Bars, Resturants, gas stations, ETC. Having spent time on the map committee for our club the businesses are not calling the clubs to be on the map...

You bring up a great point. What is needed is for younger, tech savvy people to join the clubs and bring them up to speed. I've heard some riders complain that there are trail reports here on John Dee and why are we not putting them on the clubs facebook site? Most of the guys that are in these...

Our club in Waukesha County was small and we managed to have a good mix of older, middle aged and some young bucks to do the stake pounding (Really appreciated that!) but it was always the same guys doing the work. Now that I have moved to Vilas County, I have noticed that it's a mixture as...

Great way to look at it. I'm sure your club will welcome that kind of help at 50 years old and you'll probably enjoy it.

Hopefully the parents of these youngsters (All of us babyboomer club members who do all the work) will get their kids involved in why we ave these trails and what it involves to keep them. But, I digress, I'm not sure that is going to have with todays youth.

    HIGHLANDS YAMAHA CLOSED

There was a dealer in Big Bend, WI that was a huge Polaris dealer I think. He went out of business mysteriously, and people wondered WTF? Turns out he took inventory of new sleds, had the crates all stacked up like he had the inventory and guess what? no sleds in the crates. Polaris came in to...
