A good normal snow year will make everything right again. I’m feeling it!

Was out the last two evenings for some walleyes. Thought turned to be cold and windy, three small 14” walleyes, one nice crappie. All went back for another day. Tonight wasn’t much better but did bring in a nice 16” walleye. This one had a couple of very nice filets.

Here’s what they look like this morning at my place, maples turning, birches and oaks are just starting.

Vilas County has had a week of color movement, I would say we are going to be full on around the 15th. Not much rain in sight so they should hold for awhile.

The club I was in rotated meetings as well.

People started buying up all the baby formula right away. Virtually every store is out of it, my around some at Costco so she is good but who knows. I do think the media has driven the panic meter sky high as usual.

I guess that comment sounds a little strange but my thought process is you have the walls up so to speak, maybe a sheet metal building requires the sheet metal be up before adding the roofing. I’m no expert but just like to be dried in as soon as possible. But, with the lack of rain all is good!

Jim, you can never have enough firewood. Interesting that you have the walls up before getting the roof on.

I understand the need to ride but if you ride in a year like last year then you have to expect some serious wear no matter the product.

Jim, I love it when a good project comes together! Were those Cisco Chain perch? I remember way back in the 80’s we used to catch boatloads of nice perch in Cisco and Thousand Island lakes.
