    North Shore riding 3/12

I've wrestled with myself on the 600 vs 800 over the last few yrs. While I love the idea of the extra power on tap with the 800 I just can't justify it. My riding style just doesn't require it as most of our riding is cruising down forest roads, swamps, rivers, etc... When I'm with my family its...

    picture sizing question

Has anybody else had trouble sizing pictures for uploading them. I have to make them so small to get under the 95 KB size limit, I'm down to 300x300 MP to get to that file size. Am I doing anything wrong? Most pics are taken with Iphone 6.

    North Shore riding 3/12

North Shore riding 3/12 - trivia question is answered. So we ran back up to the cabin this weekend to attend the St Urho's festivities in Finland and sneak one last ride in. As we were unloading sleds on Saturday the truck thermometer was telling me it was 60 degrees out. We ran down some...

    North Shore riding

So we got out for another weekend of riding the North Shore near Finland. On Friday my son and I rode from our house in Cloquet to our cabin and had a great ride. Trails around Duluth were in excellent shape. Crossing a large field north of Duluth we saw a very big wolf out there. So we got to...

Where did people ride this weekend?

We rode north of Finland for the day Saturday. Ran the powerlines with the family and was beginning to question my judgement of bringing them out there, lots of waist deep snow and very soft at 50 degrees. The 20 yr old 440 fan is not a real deep snow sled! At least its light! Did some digging...

    Utah Trip

So we survived our trip to Utah. We stayed at Beaver Creek Lodge and I can't recommend it enough. Small enough, only 10-12 rooms, but with phenomonal food and service. Great people, all of them. We hired a guide for all 3 days and I'd also recommend that. Unless you know the area or are riding...

    Heading west in the morning

Got a group of us heading to the Wasatch Mtns in Utah in the morning. Booked this trip last August and it seems like it has been forever waiting for it to finally get here. We are actually flying and renting sleds for this trip, sick of the long drive from previous trips. Supposed to be low to...

So it was guys weekend this last weekend. Some of my friends went up Thursday while I couldn't go up until Friday at noon. Its never a god sign when they call Thursday night and ask you to bring up a come along, tow ropes, axe/hatchet, a sled or tobaggon, etc... One of my friends was playing...

    polaris 600 idle issues

Went for a ride today with my 2010 600 RMK. Sled started fine and ran great at first. Noticed about 30 miles in it wasn't idling well. I'd come up to a stop sign and it would idle rough sometimes. One time when going to reverse it kept quitting. Got home and let it run for a bit and it got...

    MN north shore

Had a great weekend up at the cabin this weekend. Local trals are holding up well, Moosewalk and Timberwolf trails were very good all weekend. The NSST starts off each day good but gets beat up by the evening. Went out and explored some forest roads with my wife today, she got a little tired of...

    North Shore 12/19

Got up to Finland to do a little riding yesterday. Theres probably about 10-12" on the ground in Finland and maybe 15-18" up near Isabella. Didn't ride any trails, just forest roads and while the snow was excellent and riding was great there were a lot of trees to work around that had fallen on...

    wasatch mtns in utah

We are looking at going this coming winter to North East Utah in the Wasatch mtns. Anybody ever rode in that area and if so, how was it? This would be a fly and rent trip so we are pretty open to anywhere but thought this looked good.

    finished my man cave/shop.

Well, after my thread on why I couldn't post pictures anymore explained to me the error of my ways I thought I'd share some pictures of my shop project. When I built my shed 7 yrs ago the plan was always to enclose 1 end to make a heated shop. So I finally got cement poured last fall and framed...
