The Keweenaw is expecting temps of 40 Wed & Thurs with temps to remain in the mid to upper 30's through next week. I am thinking that Michigan Techs Winter Carnival Statues are not going to fair too well. I am also thinking the Copper Dog 150 dog sled race may not be able to held as that is...
I am disappointed in the Lions loss, but, am glad they had such a good season overall. We can all say, shoulda, coulda, woulda, but, that doesn't change anything. They'll be back and better than ever.
1/26/2024, Temps continuing in the mid to upper 30's with night temps remaining above freezing. Grooming has ceased until the night temps drop. Everything is like mashed potatoes right now.
You timed your visit right, conditions are on a slide right now & don't look to improve anytime soon. Glad to hear you got in a good run though. We'll have to see how this next timeline pans out. I have my reservations though, this is one bassakwards winter, thanks to El Nino.....

When the platform of the site changed, everybody went to 0 postings. I think Indy was 15 when he first started on here? Can't be sure, but I do remember his little modified metal storage shed for his sled, good stuff.
I've been an avid follower of the Lions for many years. It's been a long over due season & I hope they can continue on. It will be a very good game & I am looking forward to it. Anything is possible, especially this season.
Depth will vary based on area, & things are rideable, higher terrain areas would be the best bet for a reasonable base. I would stick to the trail, too sketchy to venture off due to hidden hazards & not adequate cover.
