    The Four Stages of Snowmobiling

Hoping to lighten things up around here with a short visit from Charlie Berens on the Four Stages of Snowmobiling.

    Amber Alert!

Out coached and Out Played, where do ya start? I wouldn't want LeFleur's job! It's still early but it looks like Minnesota is the team on top. Detroit and Chicago will give the Packers all they can handle unless they get this thing fixed. Oh, and that haircut of Rodgers...let's get that thing...

    Just some Minor Housekeeping

It turned out to be Moving Day on JohnDee.com as I moved a couple of threads from Miscellaneous to the Bar Stool Forum. Both threads were heavy with political content and in violation of the rules of the site. I need to do a better job of watching the content and steering things in the right...

Mezz is correct, Chrysler made the Imperial. I had an Uncle that built Ramblers in Kenosha a long long time ago. The Ramblers also had a push button transmission. Funny how you remember stuff like that and other stuff....poof it's gone.

Some of the higher ends have them, namely BMW and Honda. The new Honda Accord hybrid touring has push buttons on the center console for park, reverse, neutral, and drive. There's even a push button for the parking brake. The car has a CVT, so that's all you need. Heck, I'm still getting used...

When It's Time to say Goodbye

A friend of mine sent me the following and it got me thinking of all the dogs in my life. Not that many really, but all were memorable. My first was Trixie, she loved to chase porkupines and that was her demise, so bad the vet couldn't save her. Molly came next, a great dog of the Yellow Lab...

I see that Push Button Automatics are making a come-back. One of my Dad's early cars was a 60 or 61 Dodge Pioneer. It had the obligatory tail fins with a push button automatic.

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

Consider this...You haven't lost a dime until you sell your equities. That's when the bleeding starts.

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

I found this on Wikipedia... According to popular accounts, Summerwind was built in the early 20th century as a fishing lodge on the edge of West Bay Lake in Vilas County, in northeastern Wisconsin, and in 1916, purchased by Robert Patterson Lamont. According to some stories circulated, Lamont...

    On the Top of Wisconsin

The view from the top of Timm's Hill this week. Wisconsin's Highest Elevation. Been there many times on the snowmobile. A fun place to search and find but a challenge to climb that tower with all your gear on!

What is your favorite UP ghost story or "haunted" location?

Not a Ghost Story or anything haunted but a story of two B 47's that crashed southwest of Hurley, Wisconsin back in1961. Strange coincidence that two identical planes would crash in nearly the same location, weeks apart. You can visit the crash site memorial by snowmobile or ATV on trail 13 in...

Every once in awhile something comes along and I'm surprised by it's popularity. Let's start with Cell Phones, anyone remember "The Brick"? How about Bottled Water...why would anyone pay for water when you can get a drink from any spigot? Both are billion dollar industries. And there's the World...

    What was your favorite chassis?

Bogies and Leaf Springs for me. Those Slide Rails will never work, too much friction, they'll slow ya down, and they'll wear out after an hour or two. Bogies, Leaf Springs, and a good Chiropractor. That's the ticket!
