I think the only pier you can leave in all winter and not see damage is a suspended pier. Really like the idea for my single 4ft wide 20ft pier that goes straight out.

Update, been doing drywall upstairs, have the ceiling done, will finish the lights this week and start on the far wall and then have to go get more drywall. Doing ceiling drywall, especially with a slight cathedral pitch is a pain even with a lift. The walls will be easier.

Yep, drove down to Rhinelander yesterday and everything was pretty much gone, I'm sure there is still snow in the woods but any trail that gets sun is toast and mud.
