2 Dead in Vilas Co... Thursday

as As I try to remember this several years back, a family of 4 were riding south I believe below Calumet. Father in the lead, one child following ahead of another child, and wife, mother brought up the tail. The last child and mother had stopped on the side of the trail as sleds approached...

    Todays Ride

S Sounds about the same as what I carry with me. I have a small pocket size Schumacher jump pack I carry with also. Amazingly, I've even used it on my full size pickup. No rope starting a 4-stroke sled. I also have the LINQ gas caddy for both Renegades. They are made to fit, no jockeying...

    Vilas 1/31 ride

My little 79 TXL, being a light weight sled was a real terror! We left a many of the big CC sleds in the snow dust! And that was before a another racing friend of mine cleaned up the ports, which wear already huge, for better flow. Clutched, and geared to keep it in the high RPM 's she screamed!

Off trail riding on the local news

All true gary_in_neenah! When we started out snowmobiling, mid 1960's, it was all about the family recreation environment. Manufacturers advertising promoted the family enjoying snowmobiling together! And we did, outdoor wiener roasts, and all kinds of winter season outdoor fun!

Nice pic! How many of those SRX's blew up? I had several friends with those and they were a likely time bomb, but super fast when they were running. My little 79 Poo TXL drove them nuts.o_O

Yeah, well, euphorict, I patiently waited for the "All new, all Yamaha" sled over 10 years ago, and all for nothing! I believed if anybody could produce a new 4-stroke, lighter weight snowmobile, it was to be Yamaha. Sadly not to be, as Yamaha's all new, all Yamaha snowmobile was nothing but...

Off trail riding on the local news

Okay dfattack, this is what my insurance agent exspressed to me yesterday, as I myself wanted to be sure of this for myself. Depending on the state insurance regulations, and law, most homeowners policies will cover your property LISTED on your policy. And even if this property is not your...

I agree Hoosier. AC has had many ups, and downs, Bankruptcies, buy outs, and just many big bumps in the road difficulties. They have had many market wide innovations, racing success, a lot due to Roger Skime. However, the snowmobile mfg business today is a very hard way to make $$$. More so now...

Hmmmm? Both Deere, and Poo have tried this, on lower powered sleds. Interesting.
