I think I would prefer to be in your position as far as the amount of snow is concerned. We are also expecting rain here in the Keweenaw, between 1/2 to 3/4" worth through Saturday. This combined with temps in the upper 30's to near 40 through the first half of next week. Cooler temps possible...
We have yet to have ice on the larger inland lakes & your forecast outlook is pretty much the same here in the Kee. This mornings temps started out in the low 20's & have now reached 31. No meaningful snow expected in the next 24 hrs in this part of the UP however, South Central & Eastern UP...
Had some real trees as a kid, even tried a few as an adult. Despised the mess even when properly watered & freshly cut. Been a fan of artificial for many years now. The trees now look real. Our tree is aging but, she still looks good. Merry Christmas!
Nice!. I'm sure you could dial it in a bit, but, those triples are thirsty. Look at it as Smiles Per Gallon. Nothing like grabbing a handful of throttle hearing & feeling the the howl of the triple triples.
I have mentioned this in a previous post, I have lost my interest in any Textron product due to their discontinuing production & parts availability for the SxS. I had a unit that just turned 7 years old with 2500 miles on it & found you cannot get parts for it whatsoever, not even a coolant...
The crews have been busy prepping the lower span of the lift bridge for snowmobile traffic. The Coast Guard will give the green light on locking in the span for the season, This should be ready for use this weekend. Have at it & stay safe.
Enjoy it! There is something special about hearing the kids laugh & scream when sliding down hill. I still groom a winding sled/tubing run in the backyard with the SxS for the grandkids. Even if I can't participate, I enjoy doing it & watching them have fun with it.
An outstanding 1/2" in total since late yesterday afternoon. :rolleyes:For now, at least the temps remain in the teens, for now. It looks like we will be seeing temps in the mid to upper 30's next week. This is the result of a weak La Nina I guess.
We have also been told 3-5" today through Fri morning, so far just a few flakes throughout the day. Temp trends for the upcoming Christmas week are looking to be in the Mid to upper 30's, the roller coaster continues & still no ice on the lakes.
Light LES this morning & expected to continue through the day & possibly through to Friday with 3-5" possible here in the Kee. Looks like portions of WI as well as the South Central & Eastern UP could benefit from the clipper system that is supposed to drop through on Thursday.
Glad to hear that you are so happy with it. Great to hear that Cat still has their mojo with the new platform, that holds some promise for the sled side of things as I've heard good things from others as well.
