    Lawn Service; Yea or Nea

At home, I do the basic weed/feed and such for a descent lawn. It looks real nice but honestly I dont want to spend the extra money or time to make it really nice, I have too many summer hobbies for that. At our lakehouse, we do not use much, mostly sand. We really try to keep stuff (nitrates...

    The Future of our sport

Although this has been a discussion for quite sometime it is always good getting opinions out there for the benefit of the sport. Just my opinion, I welcome the increase in trail passes, although it does seem steep. Conversley, have a small trail pass increase every year is the way to go, it...

That is great and maybe a model for others to consider...at least for the clubs that I am more aware of.

    The Future of our sport

The demgraphics of sledding are definitely changing. Seems the younger generations are not as interested in sledding. My kids are not interested in sledding, they love to side by side and have chosen to spend their money there instead of chasing the white gold. As far as trespassing/online...

Next few weeks of the season...

I've already golfed 3 rounds in northern Illinois. Probably done for the year sledding, had another good season. Not really in the mood to drag the sled back out and pay $5 a gallon in diesel costs after I got all my trips plus in this year. Cabin up north is shut down, won't open it back til...

No talk of new sled offerings?

This... The polaris 650 is an amazng sled and one that I am seriously considering. Ski doo could have matched or beat polaris in that market. I have a ski doo 850 mxz xrs, great sled and no complaints. But, I can rip a 650 in the trails almost as fast as my 850 ski doo, although the ski doo...

    Half time show

I didn't watch either but I don't let these political games by either side let me being a complainer and get me all riled up.. Its not worth the time or energy and I am a grown man and can make my own decisions and not be told what to think....pretty pathetic really.

    Something to Consider

This is basically why I like riding at night much better. I've always thought the Most dangerous hours of riding is between 4-7 PM when all these groups that have stopped for last beers before heading home.

    This Weekend's DNR Patrols

This occurred quite a few years ago around the Cable area and the backlash against it was so loud that this so the first large deployment I have heard of since. It drove tourists away from that area and the business's complained en mass... As for me, like most said, I am not against...

    The next Generation

My three boys tried and never really loved sledding. They like it and might take the sled for a spin but I don't see them buying one in the near future. Now SXS is different, they love that and ride a good amount when at the cabin in Hayward. I can see them purchasing an SXS in their future...or...

    Bud's New Superbowl Commercial

Problem is that people stopped drinking bud light, which I never liked and also gave me headaches, and switched to Busch Light.

Will the freda loop ever reopen?

Great news! Those side routes make riding north of mass worth it (just IMO cause I do not enjoy riding the grade) If 13 can every be re routed that would be amazing also, one of my favorite trails.

    Yep...its Illinois weekend..lol

That was my group...we hung those TV's in the bar the day before and had a great convo with the owners so we came back to watch the game. Yeah it was good bantering and all is well. Nice new owners at Beavers.

    Yep...its Illinois weekend..lol

Its the knucklehead few of every side that ruin it for the greater. We have a place in Hayward and its a big mix of pack, vikes and bears fans. Never had an issue but good ribbing. We were up in Mercer for the Bears/Pack playoff game and plenty of trash talking but we all laughed and shook hands...

    The Football Thread

you are correct on the college formal cap...I meant to say the overall amount they can get including thrid party revenues. Which is obviously extremely difficult to monitor and enforce. With so manu donors with big pockets its becoming unreal. My alumna mater UIUC had a athletic specific...

    The Football Thread

I agree to a point. The NIL has allowed a team like Indiana to prosper. It has spread talent out from the traditional powerhouse schools. But, I wish they would put a cap on what they are allowed to spend, it would make it more equitable for more teams. But let's be real, good players have...

Nice pic, gotta ride when you get the chance. We have about 300 miles in so far just riding in mid northern Illinois, it was great riding right out from the garage. Been a great start for us. But, that's all going away. A warm up coming in my area. It was good while it lasted !

    Maybe, just maybe……

Looking good, just hoping the cold stays! Ive rode early December in the UP most years that we could, youll definitely be a litlle muddy and might have to break your own trail from time to time but it definitely scratches the itch!

Trail 1 and 13 loop open?

Trail 13 was the best trail up there, I really miss riding it. It was a great way to avoid the grade.
