That's great she wants to get back on the sled. Those conditions were probably unusually slippery. Tek vest or something similar makes a lot of sense.

I have the tek vest crossover. I'm taller and it fits me better. I don't really notice it while riding. It's supposedly more breathable and less insulating than the others, which isn't really a pro or con for me snowmobiling, but that might be nice if you are looking to use it in warm seasons...

Glad to hear she is ok. That must have been scary for both of you. I've had one collision and it definitely stuck with me for a few years. I don't think studs would have helped in my situation but I've considered them after that, perhaps at least the prestudded tracks.

I don't know what they sell at the bar in Mass City, but for frozen pizza it's really good. Of course I'm normally in the best possible mood when I'm up there, either just got done snowmobiling for the day or am ready to ride the next day....

Eagle River updates regularly on snowtracks. I haven't looked at many of the others. Agree it's a relic of the past at this point.

There's usually an update on the snowtracks site too. Unfortunate how quickly the conditions seem to be deteriorating. I should have taken my kids up after Christmas or over MLK day, but President's day worked best for our schedules...

Glad to hear things were good this past week. With the rain coming in and then the snow later in the week, I think it's likely we won't go up this coming weekend. Family who lives up in that area year-round (north of ER) said they've never seen as many sleds out as they have this season, and...

Long term forecast has me nervous. Taking the kids up President's Day weekend. A bit north of Eagle River. With the kids we mostly ride private land around the lake our relatives are on up there so we don't need a ton of snow, but I don't like all these high 30's!

Cat seems to get the under brand's cheerleaders' undies in a bunch for some reason. I think most would agree cat has fallen behind the past 3 or 4 years (at least). Hopefully this sled gets them some market share back so that they can have funds to continue to invest. Having 2 manufacturers...
