Locked gates and no grooming north of Mohawk

I would suggest getting the Snowmobile Manufacturers invovled as much as possible, without trails, less sales.

Locked gates and no grooming north of Mohawk

I don't have any knowledge of dealing with logging or the bridge issues but I can sympathize with you about the support from Businesses that actually step up and contribute to the map. I personally sold ads for our county's map and we had the same people every year support us. The ones that...

    Forest co.

I was not on the trails but looked at them from the road on the way from Manitowish Waters to Goochs in BJ, WI this afternoon and they looked really good. Talked to a few snowmobilers at goochs and they said pretty good. Those are Vilas County trails FYI.

Hayward Lakes Area-Sawyer County Trail Conditions

I just got done reading about this event on their website. The DNR seems to be involved in this so you might want to start there. This is an 80 mile event, not sure if they are out at night or not? Ive never heard of this event but in todays age you would think someone would recognize that this...

Hayward Lakes Area-Sawyer County Trail Conditions

Your post makes perfect sense. I know it is hard for some to think in common sense terms like this but if you can eliminate the possibility of something bad happening its the right thing to do.

Need some feedback on a Ski Doo MXZ TNT 900 ACE

I've always liked the Yamaha brand but in this current world trying to find anything decent to ride on is a challenge. The prices for anything used these days is ridiculous and this presented the best option. It's my first Ski-doo since a single lung 1969 that spewed son much exhaust straight...

    Question on Norway Spruce trees

I agree on the Blue Spruce, when we sold our place down in southern Wis. most of the blues I planted had the fungus as well as most of them don that way. They die from the bottom up.

Need some feedback on a Ski Doo MXZ TNT 900 ACE

I will enjoy the 4 stroke and decent gas mileage. I typically run premium, non-ethanol in my sleds. I was running an older 2 stroke Polaris Classic 600 that was a gas hog!!!! My buddy had the same sled I just bought (Skidoo 900 ACE) and everytime we would fill up he took half of what I put in my...

    dec 27th

Revising snowfall total in MW to 8+" perhaps up to 12" in certain areas. Just got back from Minocqua and they seemed to get a good dose in the 6-8" range. Hard to tell because of the blowing and drifting. This is certainly good news for 1st day of open trails in Vilas. Would imagine that Oneida...

    dec 27th

I would say that we have a good 6" of snow in the Manitowish Waters area overnight. Lots of blowing and drifting.

Need some feedback on a Ski Doo MXZ TNT 900 ACE

I was able to buy this sled for $7k, it has 2500 miles on it. Very happy with the deal. My wife was even happy so that makes it better! Question? I'm sure there is a 2-up seat extension that you can buy for this model, does anyone know the best place to start looking for it? Thanks for all your...

    Vilas County. WI

County is in a tough spot, there is enough snow to open, trails will be less than desirable, bottom line in that the businesses depend on those trails to turn the cash registers on. The next two weeks have a lot of people up for the Holidays.

Took a car ride yesterday 12/22

Same over here on the western side of Vilas County. In Manitowish the trails look nice and groomed but thin, as you get toward Minoqua kind of the same, I drove down to Rhinelander on Tuesday and honestly some trails were bare that took sun at 8am, but when I came back at 10:30am it was snowing...

Vilas County to open Monday 12/27

According to Manitowish Waters Snowmobile Website Vilas will open Monday 12/27. Trails in our area have been groomed, its very cold at night, there was some base even after the meltdown but its thin. Sunday looks like more snow in our area so fingers crossed. I don't think the lakes are ok yet...

    Milwaukee Snowmobile Show

Its that way with all shows, doesn't matter what product category. Now with COVID the last couple of years and all the shows cancelled all over the country those companies that put them on and charge so much for booths, power, chairs, carpet, etc kind of got what they deserve. They were all...
