SE WI - Walworth - Waukesha - Racine - Kenosha - Jefferson Counties

I have 4 sled in my family stables so even if you divide the number of sleds in 2 that’s 110,000 so not as bad as you want to make it.

Overnight trip from Phelps/Conover, where to?

So another big question weekend or week day? Which may have been said already stated and I missed it. If week day I wouldn’t worry about reversing the direction and also what time do you plan on going out earlier the better. I do like the go through Wisconsin first then come back on the railroad...

Overnight trip from Phelps/Conover, where to?

One thing I will also strongly recommend, be prepared to change your route if the trails get bad. Your east ride should be good but depending on the day Watersmeet to lando can get a little rough by afternoon (and I groom this trail) but high traffic can take it’s toll on it. Also Lake Gogebic...

Distance from Land O Lakes to Munising

Not denying Baraga has there problems but 2 Sunday’s ago we rode Watersmeet to Baraga and their trail were great and the Wednesday and Thursday right before we went we had friends go Watersmeet to Marquette and again said Baraga area was really good including the rock area. So maybe something...

    Oh Bad Luck

I don’t think I will have titled it oh bad luck, more like oh how stupid. Again one idiot making the sport look bad. Glad they got busted.

    Another Helmet Question

I can’t even imagine the actual markup but it’s has to be well over 100% I would think. Just look at Tesla has done with his car prices, huge price cuts and I’m sure they are still making a good profit.

    Watersmeet area

Groomers are running daily and with cold temps trails are set up nice, flat and fast. Even the usual rough spots are doing good, weekend is coming but they should hold up just fine.

    WATERSMEET

Took a ride today and with the cold and daily grooming man are the trails in good shape. Could use some fresh snow but that is always the story. Few shutter bumps here and there but modern sleds you can’t hardly tell.

    Lake Gogebic Area

Yes they did have groomers down by as of now looks like there groomers are back up and running according to groomer tracker. Marenisco groomer is doing 1-100-13 now so probably will be doing 1 to PI in the morning

    Snowmobiler hit by Car

Yes very sad, near St Germain head on creating a hill from what I heard. Had friends trying to take that trail and got sent a different direction so must have been shortly before they got there.

    HELP...Im Lost...

No open fields that big or with that little snow in the northwoods or yoop but they look really good. Glad your not having to travel to find snow for a change. Take it while you guys can down there then come back up when it runs out because hopefully we should be good for a while up here.

    Gogebic area

Was just told this morning they are having groomer issues again, Marenisco one is down and one of the ones in Bergland is down also. This is a real bummer hopefully they can get them fixed soon.

Off trail riding on the local news

It was answered in post 141 if you are born after January 1, 1985 you need a safety certificate. I believe for sure a Wisconsin rule would assume similar for Michigan.

Off trail riding on the local news

Well stated. I do have a question, out of the younger generation riding, example the 20somethings how many have taken a snowmobile safety class. And not sure once you can drive car do you need snowmobile safety class. Maybe it should be mandatory to take and don’t let the register a sled without...

Off trail riding on the local news

Pretty much what I figured, but doesn’t hurt to check. And again it all about how bad someone wants to prove something in a lawsuit. Neighbor is going through something similar over a lake easement the guy isn’t going to win but keeps throwing bad money at it and my neighbor has to do the same...

Off trail riding on the local news

Not an insurance guy, so can’t answer that. That would be a question for your insurance person which I’m sure would want to sell you some, maybe a better question call the state where the land is and ask them if are you liable for trespassers on vacant land. It may be able to tie to your...

Off trail riding on the local news

DF I would agree. I know when I had more land that I did post the no trespassing signs, but with lawyers and society today anything can happen. Most home owners insurance does have built in coverage for situations like that.

Off trail riding on the local news

Indy, I truly get your point and most landowners are pretty tolerant and know there are only a few bad apples. But years of small amounts of bad apples adds up and eventually they have enough. Homeless person walks your sidewalk every day no big deal, now they decide to come in your backyard and...
