What is your experience with smart shocks? How do you know these things about them?

Can you explain how the helmet "lifts"? I don't notice anything above 80 at all...all the way up to 110mph. Maybe it's due to my windshield? I have an adjustable medium to high since I don't want to freeze and like the protection when in freezing drizzle.
