    Lake Linden sled mechanic

I thought I heard of a guy who started his own business wrenching on toys outside of Lake Linden when I was up there a while ago. Is he still around?

    Yooperlites

We were up in Twin Lakes/Houghton this weekend and found some of these rocks. We went to a beach without any tailings. It wasn't easy but we ended up with 5 total, 2/3 really good ones I would say. I forgot how dark it is when there isn't any man made light, no moon, and no stars!

Follow up to Veteran's Day Fiasco

Since we were discussing the school districts Veteran's Day problem and I emailed the school district I thought I would post the email he sent me. Sounds like what was said before. The "news" got a hold of it and twisted it pretty badly. Anyway here is the email in its entirety: In response...

    Polaris Sportsman De-celleration question

I have a 2003 600 Sportsman that I recently changed the jets in. It was a factory kit back in 03 because they were cold starters and I followed the instructions to a T (yes it came with instructions from Polaris). Now when I let off the throttle the atv slows down really fast, like I'm on the...

    Trailering Question

I was wondering if someone could help me. I have a 18' rinker with a roller trailer and it seems the boat never wants to go on straight. I can get it in the middle if I work on it but I thought the whole point of a roller trailer was that it centered itself. I have been putting in on the Wolf...

    On the Topic of politics....

I would like to thank John and the Admins for leaving some of the threads alone that have taken a political turn to them. As a young man who is kind of doing the "normal" thing it is interesting to hear how the global/local economy has affected each person. "normal:" I went to college, got an...

    Jetski Oil

I know this is going to ruffle some feathers, but I bought a jetski for the wife and it says to use full synthetic oil and I just happen to have 2.5 gallons of SnS oil on the shelf. It is a 1996 SeaDoo XP, I guess this one is supposed to have the full syn oil and I don't even know where to get...

John, While reading about the history of Houghton I came across a Dee that brought the first telephone lines to the area. I don't know if theres any relationship, just thought it was interesting that this is the place you decided to live...

    "More on that later"

John- In one of your last journals you mentioned something about being just the two of you for a while. Inquiring minds want to know what you mean by that. It almost sounded like kids. Please let me know.

Riding on Saturday, December 16, 2006!!

Me and a buddy ran from twin lakes to Greenland. It was only me and him most of the time. Me on the old Indy and him on the Phazer. This is the first time for pictures, so it might take a while to figure out.
