    Best tunnel bag?

Yea it looks like it will not fit based on my measurements but still wanted to check with others. I think it fits better on 144 and 146 sleds on up because 15" runs into the battery cover and gas tank on the 137 tunnel.

    Best tunnel bag?

Anyone know if the BCA mtn pro bag will fit on a renegade tunnel? Now that I am looking at it more, looks only like it will fit on a larger mtn sled....

    Best tunnel bag?

How large is the BCA bag? I like the 17L linq bag, but it seems a little small to try and take on a backpack trip. I also like the waterproof pockets. The BCA mountain bag will get me street cred with the standup/shovel crowd too.

    Who's Been Out

I'm ticked that I didnt go ride this past week. I didnt want to register the new sled when I bought it a month ago because I thought it would be a waste to pay for the year with no riding. Boy was I wrong.....oh well there's next year I suppose.

    Who's Been Out

We have more options across the state line. Ditches and GIA trails are fair game until April 1st.

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Yea I just used a small amount with my finger to press in. I was more concerned about getting the belt dust cleaned out, and just having some in there more than none. Now that I have comfort with it, could easily check on it in future years.

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Just use a very small flat head screw driver to work around the outer edge of the seal. I believe the inner part has a metal spring that helps it ride on the inner race better. Clean it out with WD-40, and lightly dry it with compressed air. Don't hit it too hard or it will blow out the backside...

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

Here is what my jackshaft bearing looked like on my Viper at 3200 miles. I didnt have any problems with it, but I felt alot more at ease knowing I cleaned it up and put some new grease in it. Make sure not to overpack it if you do it!

    Clutch maintenance - worn parts

While you have the secondary off you should pick the seal on the jack shaft bearing and clean it out/repack it. I would do that especially if you have not had it replaced on the sled yet at that mileage. Same goes for the driveshaft behind the brake rotor but that is a significantly more...

Demo day here last weekend at ERX in twin cities. Reports from people were that the 858 is a great sled and the handling was highly regarded.

How many folks are taking the money they are not spending and saving for a side by side??

I've rented some sxs in the past few years and it honestly doesnt do the same as sleds. For the few places in the midwest that have actual trails not just road riding, I can rent for about $400/day. Between the price for them and limited use/always dirty im alright with that.

    Snowmobile GPS thoughts?

I have a new XRS 900 in my garage now, so possibly looking at the glovebox extension Doo has for the GPS mounting and charging. I actually have an older Garmin laying around my house, so I am thinking of making something work with that.

    Snowmobile GPS thoughts?

So with the vv mapping I just need to have a GPS that can take a file upload I take it? I read on his website quite a bit, and it seems like its an extension to the existing mapping that comes on the unit. I am also thinking I can find some information online about how to weatherproof something...

    Snowmobile GPS thoughts?

What about options like Nuvi or Drivesmart? Both options that I have on marketplace near me but assume they are suited for cars instead of outdoors.

    Snowmobile GPS thoughts?

Okay I know there is tons of threads and forums talking about sled GPS's but I am a bit confused by it all. I have a new ski doo with the 7.2 gauge, so nothing on my dash like ridecommand or 10.25". I am thinking about possibly getting the glovebox extension and mounting a GPS on it. I ride in...

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

Yes and no. If its plowed corn fields sure you can ride within 24hr of weather change. Woods and swamps need a good 2-3 weeks of building. Anything north of Madison area is subject to the swampy.

What trip(s) have you cancelled so far?

About to cancel trip to Iron River, WI for next week. Just had to cancel my trip to Cass County MN last weekend. Crazy part is that I went out and bought a new snowmobile this week. Got a great deal on a 2023 XRS 900R holdover.

We will set a record for latest opening date if we do not open by the 25th

NWS says 50s possible in northern MN and WI into early Feb. Probably easier to just come to terms that they aren't opening this year.

Great trip up nor… I mean down south!

Can confirm Southern Wisconsin was a great time! Started in New Lisbon with a group of guys from our snowmobile club in the Twin Cities. Rode around Castle Rock Lake as well as made a loop out to the southwest down to Hillsboro through Lavalle, and then came up through the dells and Mauston...
