02 550 zl has a squeal

I have a 02 550 that has a squeal coming from the left side of the motor. I took the belt off to see if I had any thing to do with it. It goes up with the rpm. other then the squeal it runs very good. Any opinions would geat.

my guess would be it is the primary clutch

I'm guessing either the clutch or a bearing some where on that side.

Most likely the weights digging into the spider causing the squeal?

tried to take off the clutch but it has not pop yet. I left the puller on hopping it will come pop off. does anybody know if it can ran with the clutch off? I was thinking I heard a long time ago that you should not do it.

do NOT run the sled with the clutch off. To get the clutch off, pile a bunch of grease in the "clutch hole" where you insert the puller, put some teflon tape on the puller's threads, and then try. It works w/hydraulic action causing the grease to have nowhere to go and taking the clutch off.

Grease is way too messy, Just use water and tip the sled on the side when you fill the hole up
