I put about 75 miles on my f7 at home and it ran great ...brought it to Michigan to ride filled up the f7 and my m8 about half a tank each....the m8 immediately started bogging the f7 took a few miles to react but it then died and would not start I had to trailer them home....the m8 I think I have back to normal the f7 I drained the fuel tank and lines put in fresh gas and iso heat and it still was boggy so I changed plugs and cleaned the valves now when I warm it up and run it a little ways it acts like its missing and the check engine light flickers....shut it off and it won't reatart and it wants to idle around 2800 some times bumping the throttle brings it down other times it won't I've never had bad gas like this and I'm unsure if I'm missing something I should do to six this the symptoms have me baffled....pleas help I have 4 friends with me at the cabin wanting to ride and bad gas has put two great running well maintained machinesmachines

I'm thinking the only thing it can be is the injectors but I Dont have anything with me to take the stupid Phillips head screws out of the fuel rail and this is a newer sled to me so I haven't swapped them out yet....every one keeps thinking intake boots since it won't idle down but I Dont see that being it since this all started with the bad gas...it also backfires now after it bogs out and I restart it....Ezra I could use some input or any one eelse who thinks they can help or at least let me know if I'm on the right track with the injectors

Typically when they back fire it's indicative of a lean condition. Either your injectors are full of crap and not spraying enough fuel, or you have a leaky boot or bad crank seal.
Get a can of carb cleanner, fire it up and lightly spray around your boots and PTO crank seal. If you see any difference in rpm you know you have an air leak.
I'm not familiar with Cat efi, but is the fuel system an open loop system (I think thats what they call it) meaning that there is a fuel return line from the fuel rail to the tank? If that were the case I would think by now (especially after draining the tank and lines) you would have good fuel at the injectors.
again, could have dirt in the injectors too.

Good luck!

Go to a mercury outboard dealer and get some Quick Clean cleaner. It cleans carbs and fuel injectors run let set for a couple hours, restart, do this a couple of times. Have been using this for years.

I sprayed starting fluid around it yesterday and got no response about has to be injectors I have the screws on the rail soaking in penetrating fluid gonna easy out them if I have to but the injectors are coming out one way or another....to any cat guy with Phillips screws on your fuel rails get them swapped out at home in the garage avoid the mess I'm in haha
