05 Fusion 900 Electrical Issue

When I was riding today across an open field my sled lost all power and the motor shut down. After replacing plugs right away and looking for other simple things that could have caused it on the side of the trail I tried starting it back up and it pulled over just fine and would fire for a couple seconds and then kill (almost sounded like it wasn't getting gas). On the digital display the voltage was giving weird readouts and jumping all over the screen, at one point when it was running for closer to 10 seconds the digital mph readout was going from 3 mph to 4 to 7 back to 3, etc. and the sled was at a dead stop. We ended up towing the sled back since we could not resolve the issue on the trail. To me this sounds like an electrical issue which could be causing the fuel pump to not operate after what I saw on the digital screen but I am not completely sure. Any suggestions regarding this issue are greatly appreciated, thanks!

not sure about the 05 900 but Polaris voltage regulators are notorious for going bad . to the point u cant always get them because they are frequently sold out

chassis relay could be bad, stator could be bad, voltage regulator could be bad, wiring may have rubbed through and is causing a short. After a friend had an 05 rmk 900, and working on that pos for 4 years, I suggest selling it lol.
