05 yamaha genesis 4 stroke starving for fuel

i have a 05 rage that seems to run out of gas at full throttle after you reach top speed. i have to back out of the throttle to let it catch up but wont stay at top speed. i've had the carbs done 2 years straight with no improvement. any thoughts? sled runs great other then that...

I have no first hand experience with this model sled, but have you changed fuel filter? Also check for a fuel restriction like any collapsed or kinked lines starving fuel pump. Weak fuel pump? Also, have floats been changed when the carbs were apart? Is the float level correct?

I agree fuel pumps or fuel filter. Check out totallyamaha.com There are tons of yamaha gurus on there. They can tell you about every bolt in that sled.

had the floats reset this year by yam. mechanic after discussing my issue. i think i'll look into the weak fuel pump next. thanks

Check the tank vent for restriction, try loosening cap to see it if helps. If the vent is restricted it will starve for fuel and catch up once the throttle is let off.
