I think the 700 lay down is one of the better motors cat has put out the crank can take 200+hp continuously with no modification.only down side is the diamond drive in the late model f7 are not as fast as the jack shaft f7 and are more of a pain to re gear but for a trail sled they are great.the recoil side motor mounts are kinda week and tend to last about 2 or 3 yrs but are not that hard to swap and under 30 bucks.if diamond drive was not serviced regularly you may have issues if so buy bdx gears and the wide bearing good to go for a long time.
