06 x type jag POS or ok

selling the war depts mountaineer winter car.
looking at a AWD 06 jag x type wagon 60k on it 11g
any one own a 05 up x type or bud own one?
pos like the old British jags or ok with the ford parts slapped in em?
always loved the looks of the jags. for a wagon/mobile storage unit this one is no exception.

A woman I worked with owned one, it wasn't as bad as needing 3 (one to drive while the other 2 are waiting for parts) but she was in a loaner much more often than I think you should be in a new car...

If you have ever had the pleasure to work on a Jaguar of any vintage, you would already know the answer to this question. My advice, for what ever it's worth, is RUN, don't walk away!

You are a sharp fellow any problem you could figure out.I watch the wheeler dealer on TV they had one and they had to bring in Jag mech. to figure the problem.Very nice auto.

I am keeping it in the back of my mind nice looking family truckster.
really want it but in my mind I know I am just buying a Polaris 800 with a cat on the hood.
also looking at a 06 Volvo xc70 also nice car just not sporty looking. but I know those things can roll 200k with out much maintenance.
looked at a few e320 but I think the Volvo is a better car.
when I was a kid my uncle had a junk yard next to my dads shop. they were putting chev 350's in blown jags allot. I dont think I saw my uncle in anything but a jag if not in his truck my whole life.

If you want to kick yourself in the nuts that bad, why not just do it right and get her a Land Rover?

same thing both owned by Tata motors now. ford sold them in I think 08.
just like chev and Buick.
only reason I am considering the x type is because it is a ford Mondeo wagon with jag tin. more or less a European fusion.

You just can't leave Polaris out of it can you ezra? Always ripping them at every chance. Does it have to come up in every thread? Get over it already. Hopefully someday they can be as perfect as Cat. LOL

P.S. Go to the home page of the Discussion Board and read the 3rd sentence under No Personal Attacks. It's one thing to mention it once or twice, but almost every day? It's getting really old!
