08 Polaris 600 Drqagon power valve spring rusted and broken

In cleaning my power valve I found the mag side power valve has gotten water in it and rusted the spring inside the cover. I see the is a small hole up in the hood to let water out, is this where the water is coming from and what is the correct way to fix this problem so it doesn't happen again. DoI dare plug off the hole up top or in the power valve cap. I think the cap has to vent. Thanks for any advice. Todd

rusty spring

are they both rusty ? does the air box have a drain above the hole letting water drip down

Replace both now since one is bad and every now and then shoot some WD40 or fogging oil or whatever in there. Just the nature of the beast, ive had sleds with 2k miles and they rust and break and my dads had sleds with 10-12,000 miles and never replaced them

its leaking from the headlight adjust knob by your guages, I put a piece of black electrical tape over the hole, I had the same thing happen to me, you could build a sheild ovet the holes, I just left mine alone and pay attention to it when I wash the sled.

Winner winner, chicken dinner! ;)

its not just coming from the intake pleneom on the hood, think about all the snow dust and power snow that gets in there riding , its the condensation that sits in there and when the sleds are parked the rust effect kicks in
