09 Switchback rev limiter?

Got my '08 back from the repair shop tonight with no conclusive answer. Power valves and clutch checked out fine. They're thinking possibly spark plugs or fuel pressure (need to run it at speed with a gauge connected to know for sure). Anyone believe spark plugs could cause this type of behavior? More likely fuel pressure related?

I have seen motors act this way with spark plug failure misfire on my seadoo di but never on a sled. On sled they seem to just die, but on the seadoo we always thought it was a bigger issue and always ended up being the plugs. seadoo is a 2001 rxdi (for sale by the way), this was early di technology.
