Bottom line...if you aren't riding you are missing out..anywhere from 8 to 14 inches fell across the northwoods...its thick, it's wet, and the trails are vastly improved....the bad thing is the snow is deep and wet....i got the old 500 stuck on a couple lakes (big drifts)....its like wet cement...lol...im heading out tomorrow, and will post pics.....but if you aren't riding the next three days...you are missing out!!!

Attak man..How do you think the trails will be for the weekend with the warm spell on Friday? Will they survive a day of meltdown?

I think they will be ok...depends on traffic, and how much direct sunlight...this is the most snow we've had on the ground at anytime this season.

I drove from Wausau back home to Bayfield today on Hwy 51. Best snow starts in Tomahawk area up to just south of Hurley.

Trails along the Hwy looked smooth with some snirt in places which will likely bare up like Attackman stated.

There was an accident involving a snowmobile just south of Manitowish Waters at a Hwy 51 crossing. All kind of emergency responders were on the scene and a damaged sled was on a flatbed trailer heading south. Not good.
