In a word...BEAUTIFUL.....our little 2 to 4 inch storm turned into a 9 incher (and it's still snowing..lightly..maybe another inch over night)....no offense to our friends to the north...but there is no reason to go to Michigan this weekend...across the northwoods we are seeing 7 to 9 inches....less to the east (Crandon and east has 4 to 5 inches).......I took a spin around nokomis (Tomahawk area ) tonight...basically breaking trail most of the time...powder over the hood.....fun, fun, fun....
I hit lake nokomis...more of the same..busting powder....now I should warn u that the lake is not completely marked (the club is trying to get it marked, somebody dropped the ball on this...sorry)...ive been riding it for years so I know where I'm going...if you dont...dont go out there...with the fresh heavy snow, there is now some slush, especially along the shoreline, when u enter the lake...nothing to worry about..but to the less experienced rider I know this can be spooky....rest assured us locals are running those areas to pack it down, so it will freeze up tight with the expected cold weather....again hopefully the club gets everything marked by the weekend (plenty of ice out there..trucks driving on the bays)

This is the best I've seen these trails in January in at least two years...get up here and ride!!! No reason to go further north...its gonna be a great weekend...hopefully...see u out there...right now, I'm going to sleep with a perma grin on my face...been waiting for trails like this 😀

Nokomis is marked...but it is rough out there...be very careful on the east side (bootleggers/fishtrap side)...they had an ice fishing contest, with lots of trucks and 4 wheelers ripping it up out there...and there are a few plowed roads out there so don't go pinning it across the lake on that side...take it slow
