Reporting remotely from my daughter’s house in Naperville. Our power went out at 3:50am and just came back on 12 hours later. By looking at our webcams looks like 10-12” of heavy wet snow so far, might be starting to get more lake effect texture now. Talked to a neighbor and says it’s kind of a mess up there right now. Clubs will need help brushing trails, it will be up to the county when they are ready, typically not til 12/15 but who knows?

Power out all day in Phelps too I expected it with these winds and typical of storms of November. Nice to have early snow but Vilas always holds for deer black powder season. SE WI supposed to get powder snow all day Saturday into Sunday maybe 10” and I know my club was scheduled to put Trails in on December 6th so I have no idea of opening date and won’t ask until snow actually is on the ground. Nice problems to have for a change 👍I would suspect the UP will get trails in shape next week but check before you go it’s early.

Our county, Burnett, also holds for the muzzle loader season. :( Most seasons it doesn't matter, but this year it frustrates me. How many people go muzzle loader hunting these days? I'm guessing it's pretty small compared to what could be generated with the trails open. Trails are a mess, so it will take some time to clear them up. I started organizing crews earlier today for next week.
